Neural Interface Technology

Today BBC posted that a paralyzed man can control his television set with his brain via an implanted chip in his brain. This like all new an pioneering technologies has vast potential for abuse, but I am optimistic and prefer to focus on the positive implementations. When this technology has come further along in development I myself will consider having one implanted but first I would study it and make sure that it had no neuro-toxic effects and would not allow me to be tracked anymore than I am right now. Having a chip in your brain may be quite invasive and perhaps too much so for the average vide-screen surfer. But having faster and complete access to the internet that is our best outward attempt at a physical interconnected information reservoir would be something hard for me to turn down. Access such as this could quite possibly hinder one's ability to evolve mentally and the list of conceivable downsides goes on... I do know that when I receive "external" information I like it to be external, and the trend has thus far been in my favor. So for now I'll keep the internet on the other end of my eyes.

Happy naw roz! and nootropia trial 1a

First the curry chicken experiment (see xanga for details), then me purchasing an authentic hookah with proper accessories, and now I am a part of the online middle-eastern dating community. Check me out at here. It's been an ethnic couple of days, but what do you expect it's the naw roz, or new year celebrated nationally in Afghanistan and Iran but also by some in the US. I was looking forward to doing a substance review of desmopressin a nootropic that has shown in studies going back more than 20 years to enhance information recording (learning) to short-term memory. It is a more potent analog to the drug vasopressin which I would have acquired first if possible. The chemical came in the form of a small glass nasal inhaler (straight to the dome.) I had just received this long awaited treat (6 month backorder from South Africa) and unfortunately, it was discovered by the baggage search team that is my parents. It is difficult to reason with either of them on this subject due to their cross-conflicting views that seem to wedge this type of project out of my control. I cannot blame parents from not wanting their child to expose themselves to psychoactive substances, but their initial responses are paramount to their flawed opposal. My dad who like to flaunt his participation in the petro-chemical market, but sorry pops, there is a world of difference between bio-chemistry and petro-chemistry. He sticks by the stubborn philosophy that all drugs are bad and should be avoided at all costs, to the point that defies logic. To completely deny a tool, in my opinion, is just as foolish as taking every substance one can get their hands on. My mom on the other hand, believes that any sort of drug administration other than OTC should be supervised by a doctor. This is very understandable but exceptions must be made when a vast majority of doctors tend to prescribe whatever prescription is "popular" or being pushed by Big Pharma at the time. Due to the fact that I am not a research chemist and would rather save time and money, I'm not going to go to the trouble of feeding a doctor a constructed story that would give me the sliver of a chance of being prescribed this drug. That's where I stand, and yes I am a risk taker dabbling in the gray area from time to time, but I weigh the risk/cost/benefit analysis carefully... Most of the time ;) And apologize to Big Pharma, but I don't plan on having high cholesterol, acid reflux, or depression anytime soon because I don't eat fast-food, and make every attempt to correct problems with communication and balanced solutions.

Disorganized thought dump?

It's been a few days since I've made a post and with the update to this I will have a wide range of photos and anecdotes ranging from the fastpased skyline district downtown, to the vast flatlands of countryside to the south. I've been dabbling back into the novelty rich activities that accompany the mobile phone. It was a difficult choice deciding which mobile company to with. I settled on Nextel when I reviewed some of the technologies and unique calling plans. Such as free incomming calls, free nights and weekends, and free 2-way which is like a walkie-talkie along with. The phone I decided to get is extremely rugged and is running some embedded distro of linux that runs java apps like a dream. And props to Big Brother for that pesky, manditory integrated GPS used to track and trace can now be usefully implemented. From my phone I have the functionality of a Navigation system and with the "team plan" one can monitor all of their underlings from the phone and make sure they are staying in their designated workplace (their corna) but for the sake of privacy this feature can be turned off. The GABAdventure started one night with some the dosage of 3 sublingual GABA supplements and several free-form amino acids to supplement dopamine production and replenishment if need be. The pure GABA was taken for the theoretical "inverted gaba rebound" which is would hopefully slow the distributution of this inhibitory compound and grant me an altered mindstate. This was difficult to detect due to my above average consumption of alcohol (in beer form) and an uberquest with minimal proactive effort for some benzos after being inspired by this post on sixthseal.com (link will be posted ASAP) finally the tablets manifested (only 1x1mg purepack alpralozam) and at one point some questionable Gina HerBert but now i find myself in an altered state in the middle of the country of southern Texas and am going to post pix and more content later. And a full review of a brandnew malt-liquor I discovered, stay tuned! Adios!

Mainstreet during the week

Went back to the Houston neo-pub, Flying Saucer I had visited the previous weekend and it was a lot less hustling and bustling. I some salty snacks and enjoyed a German beer called Ocktober Fest (sp?) not to bad. The male/female ratio wasn't nearly as good on this weekday but the bar atmosphere was peaceful. Also picked up several applications today and internally debating whether I should cut my hair or not for the man.... those who know me probably know how that's going to turn out. I may cut it for a/the wo-man but not corporate america. Going to wake up earlier tomorrow so time to visit dreamland, laterz cyber-nauts.

Busted by the T-fella

Today I got busted by my pops for drinking beer in the privacy of my own room with a couple mates. HEB was having a sale for 24-pack Budweiser (12 FL. OZ) and decided to have a bit of the old dopaminergic grain nector and ended up being on stricter lock-down and told to "get on my grind"....now what have I been doing the past few years? I've put school at the top of my priority, but apparently that won't be good enough in this cube. But to change cubes I would need more cash flow anyways so I really don't have much of a choice in the matter, don't really mind though and I'm always up for a challenge. Once more it seems that anti-drug propaganda and having the evil weed as a scapegoat, has made the argument that Cannibis is not crack next to impossible. Someone once told me that when communication is ineffective, the individuals involved get frustrated, this seems to be the case from every angle. Looks like the ol professor is going to need to find some new squares to push.
